Parker, Arizona : The Recreation Boating Capital of the Southwest
Parker Arizona bears the name from that of General Eli Parker, an American Indian and esteemed official. The town was discovered back in 1908 and was officially incorporated as a town in 1948. On January 1, 1983, Parker turned into the capital for La Paz County. Today, Parker along the Colorado River is the premier tourism attraction of the West. It is the recreation boating capital of the Southwest. Boaters' warmly recognize it as the "Parker Strip," absolutely the most premium 16-mile stretch of water for recreational boating on the face of the earth.

The Legend of the Famous Wyatt Earp
Wyatt Earp is the famous valiant frontier lawman of Wichita and Dodge City, Kansas, and the chief survivor of the Gunfight at the OK Corral. But the famous Marshall Earp of legend comprises no more than 5 years of Wyatt's extensive and awe-inspiring existence. Among his lasting legacies as frontiersman, lawman, gambler and prospector, a post office near his Mojave Desert mining claims down the Colorado River on Route 62 carries the name -- "Earp, California 92242."
